BSL Teaching Assistant Needed ASAP - Level 3 Qualified

Full-Time - Immediate Start Available

A highly supportive and inclusive school in Barnet is urgently looking to appoint a qualified BSL Teaching Assistant to support deaf and hearing-impaired pupils across the school.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with BSL Level 2 or above who is passionate about inclusive education and making a genuine difference to young people every day.

The school has an experienced SEN team, excellent leadership, and a strong commitment to providing tailored support for pupils with additional needs.

The successful BSL Teaching Assistant will:

* Support pupils with hearing impairments on a 1:1 basis and within the classroom* Use British Sign Language confidently to aid communication and learning* Help pupils remain engaged, confident and independent throughout the school day* Work closely with teachers, the SENCO and outside professionals* Assist with both academic progress and social development* Build positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents

The ideal candidate will:

* Hold a recognised BSL Level 2 qualification or higher* Have experience working with children or young people, ideally within education* Be calm, patient and proactive in their approach* Have strong communication and interpersonal skills* Be passionate about supporting pupils with additional needs
